December musings Dec.31-2011

Dear Family and Friends,

What wonderful news I have to report today!!!!  Ed and I made our quarterly trip to the cancer center on Friday Dec. 30, and we came away very happy.  The Doc was very pleased that everything is going along so well, and my next appointment is not until April 1, 2012. Rejoice with us as we praise our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.....

Keep Looking Up....
Counting Your Blessing....,

Alice

December musings 12--30--2011

It seems January 1--2011 was only yesterday, and  now we are celebrating January 1--2012 in just 24 hours!!!! HOW FAST TIME FLIES.....
As we watch the Christal Ball Drop in New York City or the Peach Drop in Atlanta, Georgia.....Ed and I will be counting our blessings of 2011. There have been good days and there  have been bad days, but,
the blessings of the good days have far out weighed the challenges of the bad days.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL ......
kEEP LOOKING UP, COUNTING YOUR BLESSINGS.......

Alice.

December Musings 12-29-2011

The Christmas season has passed, all the children have returned home to make plans for 2012.
Ed and I have spent this year counting our blessings. Five and 1/2 years after successful breast cancer surgery, cancer reared its ugly head once again.. On October 5, 2010. Cancer invaded my lungs---big time.  My diagnosis ....4 to 6 months  to live.  What a shock....there was no pain....no breathing problems,  but all tests proved the diagnosis was really true... but to any of you who are living with cancer my advice to you is just because you've been diagnosed is no reason to roll over and play dead.  Keep a strong faith in GOD,and remember HE IS THE GREAT PHYSICIAN.
Every day is a special gift from God,

Have a Great Day and Keep Looking Up,
Alice

December 25, 2011 Musings

How rich we all are with the memorable experiences that are tucked away in the subconscious mind. The month of December is the time the back door of our storehouse of memories is flown wide open as we remember how blessed we are! At age 85, the only living member of a family of 12 siblings I reminisce sometimes in the quiet hours of the night of the precious family and friends gone before me. These are the folks who have made me what I am today.
Thanks For the memories......
Have a great one,
Alice
